Can someone confirm there isn't going to be a to-do list in Lion? This is ridiculous!
Before I scare everyone, maybe I need to get my facts straight... is there one? I certainly couldn't find any on the iOS version, which is why I bought a program called Todo (by Appigo) to handle that functionality on my iPad. Since I'm on the go far more often than I'm at my desk, this is where I've been keeping my to-do items. That and Google Calendar.
So I guess what I'm really asking for is integrated to-do list support on the iOS calendar.

as others have mentioned, i'm a little surprised that only the 17inch model has a 7200rpm drive option. i'm going to check with apple directly to see if i can get a custom 15inch with a 7200 drive. my audio apps don't work well with the anything slower.

-160GB @5400 RPM Add $100

While the 17" has

first time posting in this thread. photo of my son at half moon bay during our recent visit back home to norcal. it was a little chilly but definitely warmer then here in WA. none the less, great thread with some really nice shots. i look forward to posting here more often. :)

Did Topolsky mention anything about that one cool feature....you know the one that makes little random spots of light bleed from the edges of the screen? Wondering if this quality feature made it from the new iPad to the new iPhone.

I wonder if the iPhone and iPod will all release together in Aug-Oct every year. Makes sense since the iPod Touch, the major iPod, is just a castrated iPhone, so to speak.

Well Apple has used up all the "big cat" names like Tiger and Lion which means that either OS 11 is underway or they will be in the embarassing situation of having to use lesser cat names which imply "less".

Well just pulled the trigger on my first iMac. Thank god for education discounts, over �300 saving in the end.
Very happy with the refresh, pretty much exactly what I'd expected. Only real downer was the lack of i7 as standard but, frankly, I don't need it for what I'm going to use it for so the 27" with 3.1Ghz i5 and 2Gb of graphics memory is more than good enough. Would have liked to see a HDMI input but oh well, does anyone know if there's any easy (and preferably cheap) adaptor out there to do HDMI > Thunderbolt / Mini Display port?
Oh, and bit of a bummer that it's showing the 11th of May as the delivery date too, ah well, gives me time to sort out a desk to put it on next weekend :D

I'm looking forward to it, although I'm hoping the LED IPS display issues are resolved, I don't want to have to deal with yellow tint or dead pixels..
It'd be great if Apple had the same no dead pixel policy as Dell..

Hopefully the ifixit teardown will reveal if there is a 2nd bay accessible for manually adding an SSD if I choose the 1TB option, I want to just put a 128GB or even a 64GB SSD just for applications and the system and store music/movies/photos/docs on the 1TB. I have my windows desktop setup this way with a 64GB and it is wonderful, I don't want to pay $600 to get a 256GB SSD plus 1TB.

Still no way to show week number in the calendar. It makes planning a bother for many people world wide. We need our week numbers! it's just one parameter called week Apple. And it's already there in language and text under format .

Has anyone reserved with BestBuy and got any notification. Also, excuse my laziness, but does anyone know if the BestBuy reservation system is transferable between stores? (I.e. I'm leaving back to Boston on Sunday and don't want to get screwed if I reserve out here. Again lazy I know :p)
I'm not sure. I'm going to be reserving at best buy in a few hours. If they have iPads, yay. If not at least I have $100 down.

Bin Laden was the figurehead of the organization. Him dead is still a blow to Al-Qaeda. Was he in charge anymore probably not but it is still a big deal that he is dead.
To US its a big deal. It's a blow to the Al-Qaeda that doesn't exist anymore. The current one will still function just as it has for nearly a decade in its cell based way. If anything this will just piss off extremists. Don't think for a second some type of retaliation (most likely attacks in the Middle East) won't come about from this.

Called Brea this morning (around 8 AM). They don't know if they are getting any today (I swear, retail employees don't know anything about anything), but there's already a line about 100 people deep. Yeesh.
