I am July 2 filer and I called yesterday and they gave me this BAD news. They said "Other reasons". I can't think of what they could be. They said they are sending application back which I did not receive yet.
Any one here unlucky as me unfortunately? Anyone have came across this situation? Your help will be greatly appericiated.

Any one can please help me, I am leaving at Atlanta, Georgia, I have 5 years old son his passport is going expire next month so I would like to apply. Any could tell me what are the documents required, what form I need to fill, fee, where can I apply for renewal etc......

The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recently updated their list of Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) approved schools (http://www.ice.gov/doclib/sevis/pdf/ApprovedSchools.pdf). The schools listed have all been certified to participate in the program.
The program allows foreign students interested in obtaining an education in the United States to complete a visa petition, pay the required fee, and attend a U.S. College or University.
Interested Foreign students: There is a process in obtaining a student visa, but it is not a difficult one. The student must first obtain Form I-20 from the U.S. College or University from which he/she intends to enroll, pay the required visa fee (Form I-901) and contact a local U.S. Consulate/Embassy to schedule an interview. The SEVP procedures differ among U.S. Consulates/Embassies; contact your U.S. Consulate/Embassy NOW to determine its particular procedure on applying for a visa before planning for the interview.
Interested Schools: There is a separate process to obtain F & M Certification. Authorized school officials must obtain and complete Form I-17. An overview of the SEVP Certification process can be found on the ICE website . If approved, the school will be certified and allowed to issue Form I-20 to qualifying foreign students.

If the new PWD guidelines were effective 01/01/10, then it shouldn't effect your PWD since it was filed on 12/30/09. You should try and find some document or FAQs to prove the same and send them to your lawyer. My guess is he might have messed up something in your process and is trying to cover it up with this story. Its better to have him re-start the process in that case because if he infact messed up something and he files your PERM, it could be potentially denied which will directly impact you...Try to find out if what he is saying is infact true (which I doubt), or if he is just mistaken..

Could you all please give me an opinion on this situation? I am trying to ask my lawyer, but I won't know for a few days and this is disturbing me a lot!
I am on H1, 7th year extension. My Labor just got approved. About to file 140. Now my project has apparently lost funding and the employer is offering me a temp job for 6 months till my 140 gets approved so I can use the approved 140 and move. But the catch is the new job requires a new H1 - different job description and pay. Will this affect my 140 filed with the old H1?

What is the minimum requirement for EB2? From what I read, it's BS+5yrs, or MS+1yr.
1. Is there a rule that the experience should have been gained outside of the US?
2. Is there a rule that the number of years experience should be from an employer other than the petitioning employer?

On your I-485 approval, H4 status is lost and no longer valid.
Incorrect!
If the person is out of country while on H1/H4 and I-485 is approved, he/she can enter USA on valid H1/H4 visa stamp and will be offered Deferred Inspection. In most cases, they have to report within 7-14 days to local USCIS for passport stamping.
I suggest that you get more details about Deferred Inspection with your attorney.

I have a question about multiple 485 filings.
My PD was Eb3 May 2002 and I filed my 485 last week. My wife was added to the application as well.
Now my wife's PD is current and her date is EB3 Jan 2006. Can we file her 485again and add me again as her dependent.
Attorney says no but I am not sure if I can believe them. Besides there is a risk of not filing again for her seperately as in the future the dates may retrogress. I would prefer that both of us have independent applications in as well so we can both fall back on each others application if the need arises.
Is any one else in my shoes and knows the answer

Hi All,
I need to travel urgently to India due to some family issue and my EAD is expiring in Aug 2010. I need to apply for my renewal before I fly out this Sunday since I will have to be in India for 30 days. Can I e file my application from here and send the supporting documentation by Saturday? If so, I want to make sure that if for some reason, I get a biometrics appt., while in India, how can I postpone it? and also there won't be any issues with my EAD renewal app since I will be India and My I 94 will change once I am back.

I think it should be OK!
-> i guess there is a provision to delay your FP if it arrives for any reason, any of your representative here can scan and let u see the contents , there will be a phone to call and postpone.
-> if you are C9 category ( 485 in EB category ) , you donot need i94 number , you need alien number.

I came to US on L1 Visa and later applied for COS to H1 last year. I work for consulting company. My client wants me to travel to Nigeria for 3-4 weeks for project implementation. I would like to if I can get my H1 Visa stamping there. Will there be any issues in getting the stamping and should I need to do any legal preparation for the same ?
I would like to hear advice from seniors and anyone who has faced similar situation.
